Aboitiz Construction Celebrates Environment Month with Tree Planting Across Various Sites Nationwide

In line with the Philippine Environment Month last June and as part of the company’s second-year observance of Safety, Health, Environment, and Security (SHES) Awareness Month, Aboitiz Construction carried out a series of tree planting activities across key project sites in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

About 120 team members from Aboitiz Construction participated in the efforts, planting nearly 1,000 seedlings in five locations: Brgy. San Rafael in Sto. Tomas City, Batangas in partnership with AP Renewables Inc.; Brgy. Prenza in Balamban, Cebu in collaboration with West Cebu Estate; Tarlac City through the TARI Estate; Claver, Surigao del Norte; and at LIMA Estate, also in Batangas.

The initiative, called Project TERRA (Tree Planting for Environmental Restoration and Renewal Action), highlights the company’s ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability and community engagement.

“These initiatives demonstrate how our Kauban team members continue to live out our core value of responsibility—not just in delivering quality projects, but also in caring for our communities and the environment,” said Candee Ching, Senior Assistant Vice President for Business Transformation.

The activity not only contributed to environmental conservation but also strengthened partnerships with key stakeholders in the areas where Aboitiz Construction operates. It forms part of the company’s broader efforts to support the Aboitiz Group’s sustainability goals, while encouraging employee volunteerism and stewardship of natural resources.

Last February, Aboitiz Construction also took part in a mangrove reforestation effort partnership with the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation, Inc. by planting over 1,000 mangrove seedlings in Brgy. Lumaniag, Lian, Batangas, reinforcing its long-term commitment to ecosystem restoration.

The event saw participation from the Samahan ng Mangingisda sa Sitio Sulok and staff of the Lian Municipal Environmental and Natural Resources Office.
