One of the event’s major highlights was the launch of the “Invest Cebu” brand, an initiative designed to attract both local and international investments to Cebu. This new brand was unveiled alongside the introduction of the CCCI APP & Privilege Card, offering members exclusive benefits and enhancing their engagement with the Chamber. The GMM also celebrated the “Chamber Time is Cebu on Time” awards, honoring companies that have remained steadfast members of CCCI for five and ten years. Additionally, the Chamber warmly welcomed 20 new businesses into its fold, further expanding its network of influential enterprises.
Jose Soberano III, Chairman and CEO of Cebu Landmasters Inc., delivered an inspiring keynote address as the Guest of Honor. As a prominent figure in Cebu’s real estate and business sectors, Soberano shared his insights on how real estate development has transformed Cebu’s economic landscape. He highlighted the pivotal role of property development in driving growth across various sectors, including trade, ICT-BPM, creative entertainment, and construction, emphasizing the interconnectedness of these industries in fostering regional progress.
The event successfully gathered over 300 attendees, including representatives from various industries, government partners, the consular corps, and media professionals. This diverse turnout underscored the GMM’s significance in promoting collaboration and dialogue across different sectors and reaffirmed CCCI’s role as a key facilitator of business growth in Cebu.
During the meeting, the Chamber proudly introduced the newly established CCCI-Bogo City Chapter. This initiative reflects CCCI’s commitment to mobilizing and supporting business communities beyond metropolitan Cebu, thereby strengthening its role as a unifying voice for businesses across the province.
Another significant moment was the Covenant Signing for the Environmental Sustainability Action Plan (ESAP), conducted in partnership with the Cebu City LGU, the Hotel Resort & Restaurant Association of Cebu Inc. (HRRACI), the Philippine Retailers Association Cebu Chapter (PRA-Cebu), and the Chinese-Filipino Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CFCCI). This agreement aims to enhance sustainability efforts across various sectors, underscoring CCCI’s dedication to promoting responsible and sustainable growth.
The GMM provided a valuable platform for members to connect, share knowledge, and stay informed about the latest industry trends. More than just a networking event, it was an opportunity for members to actively engage in shaping the future of Cebu’s business landscape and to reaffirm their commitment to driving innovation and growth.
The success of this event highlighted the dynamism and forward-thinking spirit of Cebu’s business community, setting a positive trajectory for the future.
