M/V LiTE FERRY SIX, READY TO SAIL AWAY!

Danilo Lines Inc., a sister company of Lite Shipping Corporation operating under the brand name Lite Ferries “Ang Barkong Bol-Anon” expands its growing ang fleet and introduces its newest addition to its world-class fleet, M/V Lite Ferry Six! This latest brand-new vessel was recently blessed and inaugurated onboard last July 8, 2023, at 4 PM, at the port of Polambato, Bogo City, Cebu.

M/V Lite Ferry Six was built and completed in China in 2022 with an overall length of 70 meters and a breadth of 15 meters with a GRT of 2,450 tons that can accommodate 300 passengers, 18 ten-wheeler trucks, and 10 cars. This is classed by RINA of Italy and it has standard and tourist class accommodations above MARINA standards on passageways and bed bunks accommodations. Sea travel from Bogo City, Cebu to Matnog, Sorsogon for 7 hours from 9 to 10 hours is finally possible with M/V Lite Ferry Six with its service speed of 13 knots.

The launch was led by the President of Lite Shipping Corporation Lucio E. Lim and was attended by DOTr Usec. Elmer Sarmiento, LGU officials from Bogo City and San Remigio, representatives from Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA), Cebu Port Authority (CPA), and Philippine Coast Guard (PCG).

Lite Ferries is finally operating in 32 destinations and bridges the provinces of Sorsogon, Samar, Northern Samar, Leyte, Southern Leyte, Cebu, Bohol, Negros Oriental, Negros Occidental, Siquijor, Surigao del Norte, Agusan del Norte, Misamis Oriental, Misamis Occidental, and Zamboanga del Norte. Lite Ferries continue to connect the island of Cebu to the rest of the world and has proven the company’s vision of delivering excellent service by offering world-class shipping services.

 

 

The Bogo to Matnog trip departs at 11:59 PM every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. It departs from Matnog to Bogo at 11:59 PM every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
