The opening was led by Maayo Eye Center’s unit head: Dr. Earl du Junnan Sarabosing Ophthalmologist, and medical director of The Hospital at Maayo, Dr. Lawrence Chad Liu along with the team of MEC, medical representatives, and fellow unit heads of THAM who witnessed this momentous occasion.

Formerly known as MAAYO Opticare, Maayo Eye Center now joins with the other brands under the Maayo Health Group, which includes The Hospital at Maayo, San Lucas Medical, Wellness Hub at Maayo, Maayo Aesthetics Institute, and The Residences at Maayo.
Alongside Maayo Eye Center, they will also continue their partnership with Celebrity Optical by being an optical provider, this collaboration offers a wide range of optical products and services.

“Since we are at a digital age, I see a lot of patients right now complaining of burning eye sensation from dry eye. I see headaches from probably eye strain. I also see patients who have progressive blurring of vision from refractive error.” As Dr. Sarabosing explained during an interview about the increasing prevalence of eye issues amongst younger patients in our digital age.
