The partnership between THAM and Mandaue City through the City Social Welfare Services (CSWS) will expand the City’s healthcare financial support to the Mandauehanons. With its implementation, the processing and approval of health financial assistance will be streamlined without having the patient go back and forth CSWS Office and the hospital. Previously, obtaining approval of healthcare financial assistance was a time-consuming process.
“Lisod kaayo ang process kani-adto, hasol for a patient nga maoy magbalik balik. And the good thing about this is not only we are appropriating funds but Maayo allowed us to have a focal person nga mo assist sa atong mga patients —pag streamline sa process para dali ma-atiman atong mga kaigsuonan sa (The Hospital at) Maayo” said Mayor Cortes.
Dr. Lawrence Chad Liu, MPH-HA expressed excitement about this partnership, explaining that this will provide a seamless and efficient experience for patients and most importantly access to high-quality services including laboratory tests, diagnostics, dialysis, inpatient care services, and access to top-notch specialist doctors for the Mandauehanons.
This partnership between THAM and Mandaue LGU marks a promising step forward in providing quality healthcare, especially to those who are less privileged. Both THAM and Mayor Cortes share a common vision for improving the well-being of the community by creating a safer and healthier Mandaue.
“That’s a testament nga and Dakbayan sa Mandaue; naningkamot gyud ta —naningkamot ta na maka avail ang atong mga kaigsuonan na Mandauehanon sa maayong serbisyo,” said Mayor Cortes.
