DesignDiBa’s transformative home makeover program aims to revolutionize living spaces to benefit low-income families by improving their homes. The company launched the program during the press launch held on Tuesday, July 11, 2023.
With the company’s team of designers, architects, and skilled laborers, DesignDiBa’s will provide expertise to transform substandard homes into quality living spaces within a limited budget.
“Every family deserves a safe, comfortable, and beautiful home. Our goal is to make a profound and positive impact on the lives of these families by transforming their homes into inspiring and functional living spaces,” explains Interior Designer Sharon “Mami Sha” Bering, founder of DesignDiBa’s Home Makeover Inc.
“We aspire to create a ripple effect of change that will inspire others to join us in our mission to improve the lives of countless low-income families in Cebu,” adds Idr Sharon, president of the Philippine Institute of Interior Designers (PIID) Cebu chapter.
Design DiBa’s hope is to ignite a transformative spark in the lives of families, resulting in the upliftment of their overall quality of life.
In coordination with the Habitat for Humanity Terwilliger Center for Innovation in Shelter, DesignDiBa’s will have a variety of packages with easy payment terms.
The company aims to build awareness and forge partnerships with local government units (LGUs) and the private sector that have plans to provide decent living spaces for low-income families.
Design DiBa’s started as a digital content platform during the pandemic and has evolved with a commitment to uplift the lives of low-income families living in substandard and cramped housing conditions.
It has evolved into a startup business, with Idr Bering as the driving force behind the brand. She believes that interior design can play a significant role in harmonizing the relationship between the home environment and its residents.
The first season of Design DiBa’s home makeover program aired on YouTube provided free home renovation services to four selected homeowners.
The program has completed its second season and will embark on its third season. Only low-income families who own their house and lot can have a chance to participate in the said free home makeover program. They have to share their story on why they deserve to participate in the program, attached with pictures of their homes.
